Certificate IV in Business

Qualification Summary

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of contexts. They apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.

Training Methods

A combination of class group learning, texts and workbooks, group discussions, practical activities, simulations, written questioning, media, and work experience are used in a structured learning environment.  Some units may be completed by e- learning.

Assessment Methods

Demonstrations, simulation, questions and discussion, work samples, research, projects and case studies are used to demonstrate competence.  Students will be marked either Competent (C) or Not Yet Competent (NYC) for each unit of competency.

Further Studies

MEGT Institute graduates who complete a Certificate IV in Business can enrol for the Diploma of Management or Marketing courses.

Team Leader, Supervisor, small business or middle management roles

Entrance Requirements

Completion of Year 10 or equivalent, or have relevant industry experience. Overseas students must show proof of their English language proficiency. Minimum requirement is IELTS score 5.5 or equivalent. Overseas students must be over 18 years of age.
