Diploma of Management

Qualification Summary

The Diploma of Management will help students to develop an innovative approach to the management of people and the organisation.  The course is designed to further develop the skills in a number of functional areas including human resources, financial management, effective team building and business development.  Students will gain the skills and knowledge necessary for managing quality assurance and customer service by continuously improving work processes.

Training Methods

A combination of class group learning, texts and workbooks, group discussions, practical activities, simulations, written questioning, media, and work experience are used in a structured learning environment.  Some units may be completed by e- learning.

Assessment Methods

Demonstrations, simulation, questions and discussion, work samples, research, projects and case studies are used to demonstrate competence.  Students will be marked either Competent (C) or Not Yet Competent (NYC) for each unit of competency and have the opportunity to obtain a Graded Mark for this course.

Further Studies

MEGT Institute graduates who complete a Diploma of Management are eligible for credit transfer to undergraduate studies at an Australian University.

Entrance Requirements

Completion of Certificate IV in Business or equivalent, or have relevant industry experience. Overseas students must show proof of their English language proficiency. Minimum requirement is IELTS score 6 or equivalent. Overseas students must be over 18 years of age.
