Diploma of Marketing

Qualification Summary

The Diploma of Marketing provides the skills and knowledge necessary to analyse market needs, define target markets, develop strategies and find business opportunities in a competitive business environment.  At the end of this course graduates will be able to produce basic marketing and communication plans and manage the marketing function.

Training Methods

A combination of classroom demonstration, concept questions, case studies and group discussions, excursions, practical sessions,  simulations, research and project work, are used for the delivery of this course.

Assessment Methods

A combination of class activities, presentations, simulations, written assessments, group work, projects and practical demonstration.

Assessment Outcome

Student will be marked either Competent (C) or Not Yet Competent (NYC) for each unit of competency and have the opportunity to obtain a Graded Mark for this course.

Pathways

MEGT Institute graduates who complete a Diploma of Marketing are eligible for credit transfer to undergraduate studies at an Australian University.

Entrance Requirements

Completion of Certificate IV in Business or equivalent, or have relevant industry experience. Overseas students must show proof of their English language proficiency. Minimum requirement is IELTS score 6 or equivalent. Overseas students must be over 18 years of age.
